Our policy since 2005 has been to create space within the church buildings which can be used by members of the Penistone and District communities.
This "space" is now available for hire for conferences & seminars, for childrens' parties and other events.
In all of this, there is a constant reminder of the essential nature of the Church, of its worshipping life, in areas reserved for prayer and quietness; these areas, such as the Chancel in St. John's, Penistone are therefore not available for hire.
Click on the church below for details of facilities available. (Currently, space in St. James', Midhopestones and St. Anne's in Carlecotes isn't available for hire.)
Tower Room
A small, comfortable meeting place suitable for seminars/small group work at conferences (which cann be accessed from its own entrance, the west door, if prior arrangements are made, but normally accessed from the main community space.
Community Area (adjacent to kitchen and wc)
A good sized space for conferences, parties, charitable coffee mornings...
Nave
Suitable for larger conferences.
Kitchen Area
Avaialable in conjunction with the hiring of other areas.
